With its 70000 registered clients and 650 member restaurants, Yemeksepeti.com is one of the
biggest e-commerce sites in Turkey. Among several awards: The Best B2C and Best Web Site in 2004, Altin Örümcek Web Contest Organisation where Microsoft was the main sponsor.
The idea to create an ordering platform where customers could have access to accurate and up-to-date data first emerged in May 2000.
The Internet penetrations and target demographics were explored and surveys were conducted among
our target audience to see if the market really needs this kind of service. At the end of all these analysis, the Yemeksepeti.com model was selected as the best to meet unique characteristics of Internet visitors and restaurants in Turkey.

In August 2000, Yemeksepeti.com had the complete business plan at hand. In order to act as quickly as possible they had to find a robust, scalable e-commerce application for the project.
